I use a relaxed approach to my newborn photography. I don’t dress babies in silly outfits or put a ladybird or sunflower costume on them… and I know you have seen these horrendous images on your search which has led you here! Instead I prefer natural set up which could simply be a clean white duvet or a blanket over a bean bag. I don’t believe in over complicating things during these very special first moments. The only thing which can help massively is the amount of light within the room.
I do these shoots at my clients home where baby is most comfortable and warm. The perfect time to get the best results is during the first two weeks of your baby’s arrival (ideally between days 10 and 14) when they are still blissfully sleepy.
These shoots are normally on location (within the Somerset and Bristol area) or if you prefer at your own home. The area has many fantastic locations to choose from such as woodlands, pebble beaches, sand dunes, city landscapes and open countryside to name a few. If you are stuck for ideas, then get in touch and I would happily recommend a location for your photography shoot.
Again my approach is natural and fun. There will be less posed shots and more spontaneous photos of your family being themselves and having fun. I find the results particularly of children are much better than forcing them to smile in front of some false background. I much prefer to sling on my wellies and get out in the fresh air anyway. If you prefer to do the shoot at your home, that is of course fine with me
I also offer natural unposed maternity photography. For many women, pregnancy is a beautiful start to an incredible journey, so why not document this special time of your life. Please don’t expect those cringe nude shots draped in fabric! Instead I can come to your home or a location of your choice and take some photographs of you in a natural setting. The best time for your maternity photography is around 32-37 weeks when your bump is beautifully rounded but before those last few weeks when you’ll be craving some peace and quiet.
Ahh love…. Who doesn’t love love? I do! And so should you. I photograph all types of couples, from newly engaged couples to couples celebrating their first year together to couples that have been married for 30 years. There is nothing more special than finding your soulmate so why not let me capture this amazing feeling. We are all guilty of the selfie obsession, but what would be better than some professional photographs to treasure and to look back on in years to come.
